10 Highlights from our portfolio in 1Q 2017
With over 40 portfolio companies, it’s not easy to pick the key news from the past 3 months. Yet, we will give it a try…
Private Debt

We are serious about the business here. We reported the involvement in the biggest tech-transaction in the region (Allegro from Naspers to a consortium of Cinven, Permira and Mid-Europa for USD 3,25 B), and we exited our first deal of such a kind – Spearhead (link). More in mezzanine and junior debt likely to happen soon.
Marta and the team just cannot stop. They are adding new countries to their money transfer service, new features. And on top of that, they are joining Tech City’s Future Fifty programme.

We are staying within fintech companies for a while. MarketInvoice is the world’s largest peer-to-peer invoice finance platform. And Giles Andrews OBE is appointed as Chairman!! He will work directly with co-founders Anil Stocker and Ilya Kondrashov to drive scale in the business as well as chairing and managing the board of directors.

Staying in fintech, but moving to Poland. eCard, one of the Polish fastest growing agents specializing in electronic payments, starts cooperation with logistics company InPost as the acquirer of mPOS terminals used by its couriers. eCard is one of the key assets of MCI.EuroVentures portfolio.

A unique SaaS for all the PR departments out there. Vimeo is using it. Take a look, it’s easy to browse, independent of your website, and CMS capabilities are amazing.

No, it’s not a duplication. We can promise you that the Prowly software is really great, since we are using it ourselves; go and visit where you can find the latest news on our portfolio. We tend to publish there a read-worthy report now and then.

Russia is one of key markets for the company offering professional passenger transport. With 8.3 million of rides in December 2016, Gett app was the second most popular in its category in Russia, overtaking Uber!

The leader of e-commerce market in Baltic states,, has been included in this year’s edition of prestigious „Inc. 5000 Europe“ ranking. The ranking, conducted by Inc. magazine for 36 years now, consists of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the European continent.

Within MCI.TechVentures fund, you can find Frisco – the only pure play in Polish e-grocery market. Operating in Warsaw district, it has been recording great growth rates in the last quarters.
